Fiddle lessons in Central Maine

I have always loved performing and sharing music with people, but teaching is by far my favorite!  I enjoy helping people progress toward their musical goals and watching them have lightbulb moments: finally figuring out how to get through the B part, learning a new ornament, or fitting a new bowing pattern into a tune.  I also love teaching people who have never picked up the instrument before and remembering all the games and techniques that my teachers used to help me learn with excitement and joy, providing a strong foundation for playing music!  

I teach from my home in Winthrop, Maine or sometimes at students' homes, depending on their location. I also teach online via Zoom.

I have been teaching private lessons for six years now and have taught group classes in Cape Breton, in Mabou and Inverness. I also lead workshops and am on staff at music camps like Maine Fiddle Camp. 

I have taken the introductory "Every Child Can" Suzuki training course, wanting to learn more about the philosophy and strategies that were used to teach me since I was four as well as to provide as much knowledge and engagement to my students as I can.
